저는 미국으로 입양된 한인입양아입니다:
October 26, 1973: I was found by the Yeongdeungpo police. I was wearing red pants and no shoes.
1973년10월26일에 서울영동포구 경찰서에서 누군가에의해 맡겨졌으며, 그 당시 저는 맨발에 빨간바지를 입고있었습니다.
At the time, I had a few teeth, could not speak clearly yet, could walk, could comprehend when spoken to and express myself well.
그 당시, 저는 말을 잘 할수 없었으나, 걸을수 있었고 어느 정도 의사표현을 할 수있었다고 기록되어있습니다.
October 29, 1973: I was taken to the Children's Hospital via a Home for Missing Children. Then I was taken to the Municipal Children's Home (trusted by Temporary Reception Center for Missing Children). My birth date was estimated and I was given a new name: Yung (meaning wise) Hee (meaning joy) KIM (a common family name).
1973년 10월29일 미아보호소/고아원으로 이송되었으며, 아동병원기록에 의하면 1971년생으로 추정, 그때 저에게 김 영희라는 이름을 지어주셨습니다.
October 30, 1973: A social worker from Social Welfare Society (SWS) visited the Municipal Children's Home and selected me for overseas adoption.
1973년 10월 30일 사회복지협회 직원에의해 해외입양아로 결적사유가 없음으로 결정되었고.
November 7, 1973: I was placed in a foster home by SWS.
1973년 11월7일 잠시 위탁가족에게 맡겨졌으며.
November 12, 1973: I was taken to Han Gang Sacred Heart Hospital and received "normal" results for whatever medical tests were run.
1973년 11월12일 한강성심병원으로 이송되어 건강검진을 받았고 검진결과 "정상아"로 기록되었습니다.
November 15-26, 1973: I was hospitalized at Seoul 7th (Day?) Adventist Hospital due to pneumonia.
1973년 11월 15일에서 26일사이 7일간 폐렴으로 인해 재림병원에 입원했었으며.
December 3, 1973: A SWS worker visited me at my foster home to check on my progress.
1973년 12월3일 사회복지협회 직원이 저의 진행사항을 위해 위탁가정을 방문하였고 기록에 남아있습니다.
December 11, 193: Seoul Family Courty formalized the name given to me by the orphanage, Yung Hee Kim.
1973년 12월 11일 고아원에서 지어준 이름 (김 영희)를 서울 가정 법원의해 확정되었으며.
December 13, 1973: An Korean orphan hojuk was created for me.
1973년 12월13일 한국호적상 저를 고아로 기록시켰으며.
December 14, 1973: An "Extract of Family Register" was documented in English.
1973년 12일 14일 저의 한국호적이 영어로 번역되었고.
December 7, 1973: A SWS worker interviewed my foster mother at the SWS office.
December 26, 1973: A SWS worker visited my foster home to observe and write up a 'Social Study'.
March 1974: A black and white photo was taken of me and sent to my prospective American family.
Sometime later, perhaps December 1974: A second black and whitephoto of me is taken and sent to my soon-to-be adoptive family.
August 11, 1975: I arrived in the United States to meet my adoptive family.

I am right handed.

My hair is not jet black in color.
그다지 머리칼이 검지않은편이며.
My second toe is slightly longer than my big toe.
두번째 발가락이 엄지발가락보다 긴편이고.
I have attached ear lobes and somewhat large ears.
귓볼이 다소붙어있는 편이며, 귀가 좀 큰편입니다.
I have a pointy chin, high cheek bones and defined jaw line.
뾰족한 턱에, 높은 광대뼈와 턱 라인이 나눠져있으며.
I have a small widow's peak at the top center of my forehead at my hairline.
이마의 상단 중앙쯤 작으만이 가른마 있고.
At the back of my skull there is a horizontal ridge/protusion that is detectable by touch.
뒤골쪽에는 수평하게 돌출되어 만져지는 편이며.
I have a small vertical scar on my right knee cap that is approximately 1/2 inch in length that I have had for as long as I can remember.
언제 다쳤는지는 모르나, 무릎에 약 1 / 2 인치정도되는 작은 수직선흉터가 오래전부터 있었습니다.
The caseworker from SWS noted that I was sociable and called all men 'father' and that i liked "foster father best of all" when observing me in my foster home.
사회 복지 사업부기록부에 의하면 저는 붙인성이 있어 모든 남자분에게는 "아버지"'라고 불렸으며, 위탁가정에 잠시 머문 시간 동안 양아버지를 최고로 좋아했다고 합니다.
그 당시, 저는 말을 잘 할수 없었으나, 걸을수 있었고 어느 정도 의사표현을 할 수있었다고 기록되어있습니다.
